Why does Pandemonia get FROW?
As another fashion week passes yet more articles are published about the Front Row debate. It is becoming more and more likely that celebrities are just being payed to attend shows rather than for the love of fashion. With Rihanna reported to getting $100,000 dollars per appearance it's slowly ruining what fashion shows are about. Earlier in the year I started to look into the front row debate and became fascinated with Pandemonia Panacea who is a regular front row icon. Take a look at my article for Third Floor Publication earlier in the year.

The perfect Front Row?
I was sitting yesterday at the GALA show for Graduate Fashion Week looking at all of the important fashion icons going to sit on the Front Row. Allocating front row seats for fashion shows I can imagine is a huge task in itself. I have always been mesmerised by the FROW (front row) and the importance and prestige that surrounds it. If I am at a fashion show and I don't know who somebody is on the front row it leads me to question "who are they" shortly followed by "what's in their goody bag?". This led me to think about if I was a designer who I would allocate my front row seats to. In no particular order I have come up with my perfect front row:
1. Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen
2. Mario Testino
3. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
4. Alexa Chung
5. Kanye West
6. David Gandy
7. Alice Dellal
8.Hasan Hejazi
9. Mary Katrantzou
10. Alexis Knox
11. Susie Lau (Susie Bubble)
12. Daphne Guinness
13. Henry Holland
14. Olivia Palermo
15. Anna Dello Russo
16. Lucinda Chambers
17. Victoria Beckham
18. Vivienne Westwood
19. Scott Schuman (The Satorialist)
20. Pandemonia & snowy

Who would be on your front row?

Pandemonia.
I am writing an article all about conceptual artist Pandemonia for the fifth Issue of Third Floor. I have blogged about him before but after an extensive few hours researching her I am fully transfixed with the image she portray's and the life she lead's. She answered in one interview that she doesn't leave the house unless dressed as 'Pandemonia' but then how would we know, if nobody know's who Pandemonia even is? Here are the images from i-D winter issue shot by Peter Ashworth.

Why does Pandemonia get front row?
I created a blogspot last year and since then I have mainly used tumblr to update my thoughts, inspirations and to document my work. However I am now back on blogspot.
For those of you with an interest in the fashion world that haven't yet heard of Pandamonia or seen the 7ft conceptual artist, remember the name! Underneath the extravegant costume's is in fact a male fine artist with a longing to feel beautiful. I caught up with him at London Fashion Week and asked him a few questions.
Me. What inspires you to dress like this?

Me. What inspires you to dress like this?
Pandamonia. For me it is exclusivity, an expression of yourself. What you wear is what you are, it's what you buy into. I'm buying into the modern dream, I'm buying into fashion and the idea of beauty. I get my idea's from people I see, adverts and things I see in magazine's.
Me. Do you feel good when you are dressed like this?
Pandamonia. Yes it does feel good like this, it's all glossy it's all about glossiness and shininess. I make the designs myself, I'm a fine artist and I also make lots of sculptures.
I'm interested to find out why Pandamonia get's offered front row at fashion events, he must clearly hinder the view for people sat behind him, but it does make for an interesting front row. ![]() |
