London Living

It has now been 4 days since I have moved to London and I absolutely LOVE IT! I wish I had done it sooner but I am here now and loving every minute of it. I have nearly unpacked everything and the place is starting to feel very homely. Sunday was the first day where it really felt like I was living in London and me and my boyfriend went to Oxford Street shopping for the day. As the evening kicked in the christmas lights were absolutely stunning-it felt magical.

I then had a meeting with Pause Mag-it was so nice to be able to hop on the tube rather than the train or coach I would normally have to take. Yesterday I had my first interview for Marketing Executive for a boutique on the New King's Road. The role sounds challenging and very fast-paced but it sounds amazing and I would love to get it! I have been asked back for a second interview so fingers crossed!

Autumn Essentials..

Trousers: mywardrobe.com      Coat: River Island      Boots: River Island       Backpack:ASOS      Ring:Yves Saint Laurent      Watch: Michael Kors      Iphone Case- Forever 21
The autumn colour palette is filled with lots of khaki green colours and deep beiges. I am a huge fan of the Camoflage/army trend that has taken over our high street over the past month. Some people are over the studding trend but I still love it-in moderation! After getting a tortishelle Michael Kors watch for my birthday I have fallen in love with the brand-I also love this gold one pictured above.
I best get saving ££££££!

Busy busy busy...

The past couple of weeks seem to have flown by.. There has been some bad news but also some exciting changes and I think it is all for the best.. I had a wonderful holiday in Tunisia and saw some wonderful sights- a 2 day trip to the sahara was definitely something I won't forget...

Me being a tourist at El Jem, Tunisia

Our wonderful All inclusive hotel in Sousee, Tunisia

The Sahara dessert, well worth a visit!

Me before my terrifying camel ride in the sahara!

Even though we went away for a nice break and mainly to sunbathe the weather around the pool wasn't  great.. Which in the long run was probably better because we went on a 2 day trip to the sahara and saw so many great sites! I'm not sure I would recommend Tunisia as a country for a holiday-you get to see some great sights but it is very poor and you get hassled a lot.

The fashion magazine that I work for pause is working through its winter issue at the moment and asked me if I would do the winter cover interview for them. I was honoured to be asked again and we started brainstorming ideas of who would be great for the winter issue. It was then decided that Vince Kidd from the Voice would be a great choice!! On Monday I went to London to interview him and all in all it was a great experience... Keep your eyes peeled for the Winter Issue!!

A behind the scenes look at the cover shoot for pause!

Whilst on holiday we found out that Wahoo-the club and bar I work in and live above has shut down.. Even though this was awful news me and my boyfriend have decided it's a great opportunity for us to move to London.. So fingers crossed in the next week or so we will be living in the big smoke!!

Denise Grunstein:photographer

I came across Denise Grunstein's work recently and even thought she may not be the most sought after photographer in the world, there is something so mesmerising and fresh about her work. She works in both colour and black and white but it is her colour work that gets my attention.. In fact it was the image below that caught my eye and I had to see who took it.

Denise is a swedish photographer and is represented by CameraLink and is one of the most respected photographers in Sweden. She specialises in portraits, landscape and fashion. Her work is simply stunning-what do you think?

Since graduating in May I have concentrated mainly on my fashion writing and my photography has let slip. Denise certainly makes me want to go straight and make some mood boards and plan a shoot. Her attention to detail is second to none-and even though I can draw similarities to Tim Walkers work she does it all with such a laid back attitude and in her own style.

Georgia May Jagger for Vivienne Westwood Jewellery

When I found out that the face of Vivienne Westwood's new Gainsborough jewellery collection was Georgia May Jagger I couldn't contain my excitement! She is one of my favourite British models and anyone that knows me knows how much I love Vivienne Westwood's jewellery and mostly bags..

Shot by none other than the iconic Juergen Teller-Georgia May Jagger for Vivienne Westwood

Georgia was a great choice to represent Vivienne and was chosen simply because: "she's absolutely gorgeous. She's so beautiful and looks wonderful in the jewellery"-I agree!

Dame Vivienne Westwood and Georgia May Jagger wearing the Gainsborough necklace amongst other pieces.

The collection was inspired by Vivienne's Iconic collection of paper jewellery that was in the Dame's collections around 2000/2001. The collection includes Gainsborough necklace, tiara and earrings all completed with diamonds and sapphires.

The collection will be available to buy at the end of October 2012.

Why does Pandemonia get FROW?

As another fashion week passes yet more articles are published about the Front Row debate. It is becoming more and more likely that celebrities are just being payed to attend shows rather than for the love of fashion. With Rihanna reported to getting $100,000 dollars per appearance it's slowly ruining what fashion shows are about. Earlier in the year I started to look into the front row debate and became fascinated with Pandemonia Panacea who is a regular front row icon. Take a look at my article for Third Floor Publication earlier in the year.
